After Tenerife was chosen as the destination for the planned week of holidays in May, mystery caches were busily solved at home.
Our App CacheToolBox was often used as well. The longer we were occupied with the island of Tenerife, the more interesting locations we found that we wanted to visit. Therefore we decided to concentrate on the south of the island and the national park of Teide.
After a quiet, agreeable flight, we landed at Tenerife South Airport on 18 May 2019. By rental car we went to our temporary home base in Adeje.
From there we visited different great locations in the south of the island during the next days. We also made several hikes through the great landscape. But our main destination was a trip to the volcano Mount Teide. Thanks to the many earth caches we learned a lot about the origin of the island, about the volcano Teide and the nature on the plateau.
On Tenerife, we were able for the first time to test west coordinates with CacheToolBox. The automatic switch from east to west coordinates worked perfectly and also other functions such as the projection or the Multi Solver provided impeccable services.
Whether at sea level or at the top of Mount Teide, CacheToolBox was always there and in use. Thanks a lot for a great time on this island!
