Today, Saturday, 06.02.2021, the time had finally come. Together with our cacher friend luckyfour, we startet to find our 20,000th geocache.
The geocaching fever infected of us on 30 June 2007 and has not let us go since. It's an exciting and varied hobby that never fails to excite us. This enthusiasm was also the trigger for iTS to develope an own iPhone app. In 2012, the time had come and interested Swiss iOS users were able to download the app SwissGEO Tools from the store. What started as an app with few functions and features has developed into a comprehensive mobile companion in recent years, the virtual Swiss universal pocket knife for every geocacher. That's why iTS decided to redesign and rebrand in May 2018. Since then, the app has been available to all iOS users worldwide as CacheToolBox in three languages (German, English, French).
But now back to our anniversary: of course we didn't want to do a simple tradi for this anniversary, but a cache that had something to offer us. During the preparations we came across the multi "Magnum p.i. – kein ruhiger Morgen". So this was the one. The anticipation grew.
Today we drove to Mumpf with our cache-mobile. The weather gods also seemed well-disposed towards us and so we set off to help Magnum’s hunt for the statue thief. The tasks at the various stations were very creative and implemented with a lot of effort and love. In the tried and tested team of three, we worked our way through stage after stage to the final and finally found the long-awaited 20,000th box.
After our find, we went back to the Cache-Mobile, where luckyfour surprised us with delicious muffins for coffee. After some refreshments we drove to Rheinfelden to visit the LAB. As we had already successfully helped Magnum to catch the statue thief, we then hunted the RehCac Highway Killer to round off the day. We thank all geocache owners for the great experiences.
A great geocaching day for the 20'000th find. Many thanks to luckyfour for the accompaniment and the great friendship.
