GPS turned off

The GPS must be activated:

Settings - Privacy - Location Services - CacheToolBox


Dou you allowed CacheToolBox access to your location when using the app?

When starting the app for the first time, this security setting must be accepted up to iOS8. This unlocks the GPS signal for CacheToolBox (Privacy).


https://map.geo.admin.ch would like to use your current location

In order to activate the automatic location tracking on the Swiss Map, this option must be accepted. The message appears more often.


Coordinates are displayed in red

A coordinate has been entered which is outside the range. The number is automatically set to a valid value.


Display of Swissgrid coordinates “------“

Swissgrid coordinates are limited in accuracy to Switzerland. Outside this area, the coordinates are displayed as "------". For WGS84 this has no meaning.


No internet connection

There was no or bad internet connection when the map was loaded. Try connecting again or at a different location.


Positioning not possible

The GPS accuracy is greater than 50 m. Therefore, the device can not locate the location. Please check location and try again.


Map display low - normal - high

In the settings or in the map, the resolution can be switched. Depending on the device and preferences, everyone will find their optimal setting. Tip: choose low if the internet connection is bad.


Clear map cache

The card cache can be deleted in the settings. Unnecessary memory space is released by this function.


Reset settings

This function resets all settings. It should only be used if there are problems with the app.
